Newborn twins photoshoot in London
When this family contacted me after their twin baby girls were born, they were really clear that they wanted a very relaxed newborn photoshoot.
They wanted the whole experience to feel “organic” (their own words) and that’s what we did. I met this family of five (newborn twins, their older 4 year-old sister, mum & dad) in their Forest Hill home in South East London and we spent a couple of hours in their living room as it’s the room their family spends most of their time.
For this mum, photos of her breastfeeding her 7-week-old twin babies was very important to tell the story of their early weeks. I am always respectful of this intimate and personal moment and I always check with the mum that she is happy for me to take photos during this time.
Big sister was talking her new role very seriously….well, most of the time. Imagine how funny her little sisters will find these photos when they’re older :-)

Mum and dad really wanted photos of their eldest daughter with her baby sisters; they know that these photos will have so much meaning to them when they are older. These photos will say how much their big sister cared for them from day one, that their bond was already unbreakable, that they will be here for each other for the rest of their lives.
A dream twin photoshoot: I managed to capture lots of adorable moments with each baby on their own as well as together.
Who said family portraits had to be posed and formal? I love this family photo because it already shows so much about this family in the looks, the reactions, the smiles, etc… Can you imagine what your family do in this set-up?
